Back in late October we told you that RIM 5 weeks from BlackBerry to some textbook developer of webcasts critical questions about textbook development would stop. The official BlackBerry dev blog put up a recap of the webcasts as well as the answers some frequently asked questions provided in the Q & A part of the webcasts. These questions include:
Q: what are the SDKs that will be available and when will you be released?

The Adobe AIR SDK for BlackBerry textbook available today. For more information about the availability of the SDK for the development of HTML5, BlackBerry WebWorks, native and Java will come soon.
Q: is required to build apps Flash Builder 4?
A: no - can be used in fact anything that can generate a SWF file, BlackBerry textbook tablet to build apps. Webcast # 2 went through how to use Adobe ® Flash ® Professional CS5 and we plan to help on building a Flash Pro plugin, developers, applications to create. The webcast also showed how to use the command line to an application for the BlackBerry textbook Tablet package. We recently a new version of the SDK that seamlessly with the preview version of Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 (burrito) and also works.
Question: what types of permanent storage on the BlackBerry textbook available?
A. There are 3 different types of permanent storage on the data:
1. SharedObject - this is the standard AIR SharedObject API uses limited amounts of data very fast access to save memory. Typically, you will store variables or other information that you must access the SharedObject store rapidly or frequently.
2. SQLite - the standard AIR SQLite-API's can be used to use the SQLite database on the device. In general are all medium to large size store data in SQLite database to. Since SQLite is in memory, this is usually the best combination between speed and size for data storage.
3. FileIO - the standard AIR file I/o-API's can be used to save data or files in the memory of the device. All types of multimedia content or images will be saved with file input. The compromise for can in essence that size of each file is stored, that this typically slower mechanisms to retrieve stored information from the persistence store, but which is this for any type of media file, the recommended way to keep you on the device.
What is really is awesome on these answers that the textbook officially becomes the following SDKs: Adobe ® AIR ™, HTML5 and BlackBerry ® WebWorks ™, native c/C++ with support for OpenGL and Java. With this many programming languages, the Developer apps in writing you can be sure that we are some awesome ports be seeing as well as unique content for the textbook.
