Motek, the company behind the popular screen capture app screen Muncher has recently a QR code reader called code Muncher released. The app plays from the marketing success of screen Muncher using of similar branding and recognizable "chewed" sound always, when read a QR code is.
Code Muncher is free as supported ad app that scans and reads 2D QR codes, by simply launch the app and point your camera at you. Once the app the QR code detects the famous "Motek Muncher Monster" will allow the code food it show you sites, send SMS messages, call from telephone numbers and storing contact information there. The biggest advantage of code Muncher is the ease with which you can scan a QR code. Once you launch the app, you will be prompted to either upgrade to the paid version, or give some demographic data that is shared with the company probably (may better serve show). With the paid version you are offered a few features such as the ability of sounds, change colours change and remove watermark and show.
What is interesting about advertising, user is just how averse. Personally, I never minded ad-supported software and while I rarely click an ad, I also do not find that intrusive. Take code Muncher's show, for example, are clearly still in the beta. As you can see from the screenshot above, you show often entirely. It took about 4 seconds (which is an eternity in this situation) to show the ad, and if something came was not only a white bar even clickable. So why pay? You have a really decent app which is supported by advertising, still not work. If anything, I would pay the developers to support a great product, and may get rid of is the crunch sound, but about it.

Motek centralizes all this in a big business, BBNation control you called. The store looks like a portal for your content plus some additional things you have brought on board as ringtones. While most visually appealing is not system, it is an awesome concept and a great business move. With a better user interface, and a little more participation by the community something could engage really end-user Motek build.
One of the disadvantages of code Muncher, like all bar code reader on the market, it is a bit picky about what QR codes to read it is set. While this review I bar codes in the BlackBerryCool read memory would always work. Below is a screenshot of one of the code Muncher QR code from our shop, which would not to scan. The code looks pretty clear in the screen shot and the camera should be able to read it have been.
A nice little marketing tool for code Muncher is that Motek has left a secret QR code, scan it to a code Muncher prize pack to win. It's not hard, so just do here to find a little digging near the hotel.
Total Motek did a great job a QR code reader that quickly gets to the point and scans to create codes with ease. Combined with your rewards program, community and marketing initiatives, this app is a must - try for whoever is scan QR codes.
