This problem usually happens on your unlocked 9530 when you try to setting up email. It indicated by giving error messages when you want to download the service books. An error message said: “This Blackberry device is registered with a different carrier. Please register this device and verify that Url of the current website matches the one provided by your carrier.”

Make sure that you have EDGE in the top corner of the phone. As we know that a lot of the newer builds have serious EDGE issues. So, you need an OS with a lower radio file (.90 is the best for EDGE).
There are some hybrids OS out there, and a program called swap-a-radio which will allow you to change the radio file in any Storm OS to .90.
Once you have an EDGE connection you will be able to register and send service books and set up email. Until then, it won't work.
